MAGIX is a scam
Pros: decent editing software for the price
Cons: zero customer service, very hard to cancel and locked into several months after cancelAtion.
It’s a scam. Would give -1/5 if possible.
Refund for accidental double purchase
I accidentally double-purchased two upgrade licenses for Vegas Pro 20. After a quick e-mail to their sales department, they quickly refunded me one back with no hassle.
Magix is just about the crappiest…
Magix is just about the crappiest company I ever had the misfortune to be involved with! Ever since they took over Xara Webdesigner, there has been practically no support for this software. In fact, they don't even list is among their other products on their "Technical Support" page. You have to find it, and when you do and click on it, it'll tell you this: "what ever you just did the page is now broken". Unbelievable!

Fraudulent Contract
I first subscribed to Magix'd Vegas 365 subscription in 2020 at $22 a month. They then jacked the price to $36 with no explanation. I canceled July 1st and the website crashed. Not only did they charge me, but they're telling me that I'm locked into a contract I never signed until 2023. I am filing complaints with the FBI, FTC and the BBB right now.
I purchased Acid Pro 10 Suite but sadly…
I purchased Acid Pro 10 Suite but sadly I simply could not find the '9GB of loops' that was in the description...
A google search was fruitless...it was frustrating they really need to address this issue...I got a refund which made me very happy so 3 stars for the software but 5 for the company.

F****ing spamware
F****ing spamware
got what i thought was a good bundle with vagas pro and magix music marker but... there's a BIG but...
for some awful reason they think its a good idea to install a big pop-up that shows each time you start your PC..
Magix if you read this, it makes you look unprofessional, tacky and too desperate, this is not how you do marketing!!

Long Term Customer No More
Renewed video pro premium every year since Pro16 because it basically does everything I need WHEN IT WORKS but every year it crashes "coincidentally" when an upgrade is available. Worse still it also starts bombarding with pop ups and crashes my windows system. I will not renew again. Can someone please recommend an alternative product?

Erhvervede Magix programmer er skjult abonnement
Xara webdesigner. Magix Movie Edit Premium. Xara Photo and Graphic designer.
Webdesigner: after one year all internet material is closed and your access is blocked.
And you're spammed from every Magix product to install an update connect program. And after that your update program will spam you for giving more money to Magix. I've during the years used a lot of Magix programs starting with a very good Video Deluxe ver. 1. Slowly it's changed to a customer money milking machine. Shame on Magix.

Horrible, expensive software
Horrible clunky software. Spent over £100 on the Premium Edition only for it to deactivate with an unfunctional reactivation button when they forced an update to the software. Customer service is horrible as well as clunky UI. The software has major bugs, and these have been known for years. Almost everything costs money and it will crash frequently (I have a laptop with an i11 and RTX 3060 in it and it crashes). It will tend to fail to save after telling you it saved and it is unreliable software. Do not buy.

Abysmal Products & Customer "Service"
I've used Sony Sound Forge since version 4, 20 some years ago and Vegas since 2004.
Magix took over and BROKE both of them. Vegas glitches and crashes and the "improved" interface? Isn't. It will not even render simple fade transitions without stuttering!
Same goes for Sound Forge 12 which is MORE of a glitchy mess. I could list all the issues but there's too many.
And forget about TIMELY support.
Magix has done the impossible:
They suck AND blow at the same time!

Good software, terrible business
I sent an email asking for my VEGAS subscription to be cancelled but we both know how that went. Here I am, a month later with money being taken without permission. No sign of Magix, of course. Oh well, I know where I'm getting my VEGAS now ;)
Update 1: They couldn't find my request. If I can prove I sent one, they "can probably offer a refund...". My subscription is now cancelled, apparently. Will update if more money is stolen.

Terrible experience program doesn't…
Terrible experience program doesn't work and support wouldn't give me a refund for a broken program. Highly advise from going near this program if your making any serious projects.
Support won't treated you as if your valued they would rather lose a customer then cancel a subscription a day late.
Hungry company that hasn't aged well.... Shame.
Adobe. Go with a real company.
MAGIX is OK.
For me, MAGIX Samplitude and SOUND FORGE are the best tools in my audio production. I've bought it via Steam (which is created for games, not the software). They REMOVE older versions of software on Steam, maybe because of bad reputation or some licensing terms. But overall I had a great experience with MAGIX, customer service was fine too. Sure, there are bugs sometimes, the most annoying one is "error code -59", but sometimes you can find the solution on Internet. Please, try the software, before you buy it!

I doubt Magix care one bit
I doubt Magix care one bit , they tinker and play around with editing software and make things worse and then expect us all to forget it and buy the next version or subscribe...well the 2022 version is awful, instead of improvements it is ridiculous and simple tasks are prevneted, restricted or just don't work. DO NOT BUY OR SUBSCRIBE!

Magix has no real Support
I have been a Xara Webdesigner customer for many years. You could contact Support by sending a message and attach a file or screenshot. Since Magix has taken over Xara, it's become absolutely crap. No contacting support, attach a file, or anything else. "Ask the Community", that's their support. There is a "Ask Support", but that only gives you a list of possible questions and then the run-around back to "Ask the Community". Absolutely pathetic!
